Week 22: 854 Interactions…

by on Jun.15, 2010, under For Our Customers, Promotions

We are getting closer! This, the 22nd week of the 1,000 Parkour Interaction Challenge, we experienced 854 interactions on the Take Flight Facebook Page. This is the highest interactions total since week 8 when we had 864 interactions.

Although we didn’t reach the 1,000 interaction-free-PK-clothing mark, the most exciting thing about the recent interaction total isn’t week 22’s total, but rather the total we are building for this week! At this point, in the last seven we’ve had 1,103 total interactions. This is the highest 7 day interaction total ever! The interaction total is calculated on Monday which means that all we have to do is maintain the interaction total over the next 5 days, nay, we can ever reduce our interaction total by 103 (!), and we will achieve the 1,000 interaction goal required for us to give away free Parkour clothing!

With 8 versions of the Original Parkour Tee now in the Take Flight store, and a handful of new products on the way in the next two weeks, we have more and more on the line which makes the weekly interaction sum more and more exciting. Let’s see if week 23 can be the one. Join us in helping spread Parkour; comment and “Like” posts, and post on the Take Flight Facebook Page so we can get to 1,000!

Week 20 & 21: 496 and 573 Interactions…

by on Jun.08, 2010, under For Our Customers, Promotions

Week 20 and 21 closed and we’re still tracking the interaction totals on the Take Flight Facebook Fan page. The totals for these past two weeks were 496 and 573 interactions respectively.

The conquest for 1,000 interactions in a single week continues. With some new posting content to provide to the Parkour community, new Parkour apparel to be released this week, and a fan page that has recently exploded, we have high expectations that this week (#22) may be the one where we break through the roof and start giving away all that free Parkour clothing that our fans have been seeking for so long. Join our cause this week, and let’s see if we can make it!

This tee is up for grabs! Let's get 1,000 interactions so we can give it away!

Week 16: 608 Interactions…

by on May.03, 2010, under For Our Customers, Promotions

National Geographic Issue #608

The 1,000 Interaction Challenge continues as does our pursuit of 1,000 “Likes”, comments, and wall posts on our Facebook wall in a single week. We are super excited to reach this because when we do we are going to give away free Parkour clothing! This week completes the fourth month that this contest has been going on, and we officially logged 608 interactions this week.

What makes the 1,000 Interaction Challenge so great is that there is nothing you have to do to enter except be our fans and interact with the content we post through Facebook. Whether we reach the 1,000 interaction mark tomorrow, in one week, or in 3 months, the free PK apparel will be there when we do. Keep the interactions coming and keep spreading the word about Parkour through Facebook!

Weeks 13, 14, & 15: 609, 451, and 276 Interactions…

by on Apr.26, 2010, under News

The 1,000 Interaction Challenge has been a very interesting promotion since day 1. In our quest to give away free Parkour clothing we’ve seen interaction totals on our Facebook page that were high and low. The past three weeks have demonstrated this fluctuation rather well with some of the largest varying interaction totals to date. Below are the totals for weeks 13, 14, and 15.

  • Week 13: 609
  • Week 14: 451
  • Week 15: 276

What we have learned over the past 15 weeks is that some content we share lends itself better to actual interactions (“Likes” and comments) compared to other content. With that in mind we’ve also learned that our weekly interaction total is an inaccurate estimation of the influence our posts have had on our fans. It turns out that even though only 276 interactions took place in week 15, we had more than 1,500 people visit to our page in that time! The contrast is shown: what seemed like a small number of interactions in week 15 was actually a very successful week because of how many people were shown, introduced, and learned about Parkour through the Take Flight Facebook page.

As the Take Flight Facebook page continues to grow we’ll continue to provide Parkour videos, content, news, and inspirational quotes for all of our fans and followers. With thousands of people watching the videos we post every month, and reading about Parkour because of the content we share, we couldn’t be prouder than to have such interactions totals, even if they vary widely from week to week.

Week 6: 329 Interactions…

by on Feb.18, 2010, under News, Promotions

Week 6 of the 1,000 Interaction Challenge ended with 329 total interactions. That is shy of our 1,000 goal and the interaction total that triggers free clothing. We are already half way through week 7 though, so if we finish up strong we’ll be giving away Parkour apparel in no time.

The Invincible Iron Man #329

A couple things we have in mind:

We have been asked by multiple people to display daily count totals of interactions. We like this idea so starting today we are going to begin doing this. We are hoping that by displaying the running interaction total we will give everyone a little more insight into the count which will help everyone reach the 1,000 mark. With that in mind we have to point out that interaction totals are calculated based on the previous 7 day total and not on that specific calendar week. For example, when we say on a Wednesday that we have had “250 interactions” that means we have had 250 interactions over the past 7 days not that we have 250 interactions since Monday.

It is only going to be a short time before we reach the 1,000 interaction mark for a week, and once we do, it will most likely become an unstoppable weekly occurrence. Because of your help and enthusiasm for Parkour the Take Flight Facebook Fan Page is growing every day and now boasts more than 2,600 fans! The fan page interaction goal is only 1,000 total interactions a week. If only half of all the fans interact with a post only one time in a week we will easily surpass the 1,000 mark. Good luck in week 7!

Week 4: 568 Interactions…

by on Feb.03, 2010, under For Our Customers, Promotions

Sunday concluded the first month of the 1,000 Interaction Challenge. Although interactions improved from Week 3, the 568 total “Likes” and comments still fell short of the 1,000 mark needed for us to give away free Parkour clothing.

DC Comic Superman Issue #568

We really want to get everyone to the 1,000 mark so we are going to do our best this week to ramp up the number of posts we make and go out on a limb to advertise the 1,000 Interaction Challenge through the fan page. In the meantime our suggestion is to invite your friends to become fans of Take Flight through the “Suggest to Friends” link, and at the same time spread the word about the challenge. Good luck in week 5!

If you want to invite people to the Take Flight Facebook fan page this is how to do it:

  • Navigate to www.facebook.com/takeflightapparel.
  • Click the “Suggest to Friends” link that is on the upper left corner of the page right below the Take Flight logo. It is the first link so you can’t miss it! (see link image below)
  • Select all your friends.
  • Click “Send Invitations.”
