Take Flight

The Ultimate Take Flight Giveaway has had an incredible run! More than 4,000 people have become fans of Take Flight dynamically increasing our ability to share Parkour with the Facebook masses. This is awesome! Thank you for all your participation! Unfortunately, the rate of increasing fans is slowing to a rise that we can no longer attribute to the friend-adding contest requirement. For this reason, we have decided to bring the contest to a close (not yet though) so that we can move on to other ongoing competitions and giveaways. Below we have explained why we are doing this. In this process and throughout the contest we have received lots of questions which we have answered below as well:

I added all my friends and friend-ed Take Flight. Why wasn’t I added to the queue?
We created the queue the first day after the giveaway entry details were released. About a week after we created this initial queue we realized that we weren’t going to reach the end of it. We didn’t add anyone else because we expected the contest to close before anyone who wasn’t already in the queue would win.

Why are you closing the contest?
We are closing the contest so we can open the avenues again for fans to win prizes. With the current 140+ person queue, there is a long line of winners that will be waiting for some time. And all anyone in the line can do is wait! :\ We like to keep things dynamic and give people the ongoing opportunity to stay tuned into our page and win. We feel that wrapping up this giveaway and moving on to others will give everyone more chances to win.

When will the contest close?
The contest will run through this Sunday, October 3^rd at 11:59pm. At that point the contest will close and all winners will be contacted.

I won or will win in the next week. When will I receive my prize?
Once the contest closes we will contact all the winners and send out the prizes from the giveaway.

We recently changed our Facebook page image and the update has been raising some eyebrows. The old image was our logo shown here:

The new image is this:

As you can see, the new image is much more detailed, and it not only includes our logo, it also includes our website-store address, our slogan (Jump. Fly. Dream.™), a Parkour shirt, and a foreshadowing of an upcoming promotion we are introducing that will change the way we interact with Traceurs and spread Parkour around the world.

In accordance with this new image, tons of people have been dying to know what the Fan of the Week is and how to become it! Although we are going to keep the complete details under wraps until we are ready for the fan of the week launch, for now we will say that we mean to feature fans directly on our Facebook fan page image. Hard to believe? It’s absolutely true.

We expect this recent FB image change to bring a new found energy to the TF Facebook presence and a new found excitement to Traceurs around the world. We plan to utilize it to better spread Parkour throughout the world, so we hope you like it!

Week 20 and 21 closed and we’re still tracking the interaction totals on the Take Flight Facebook Fan page. The totals for these past two weeks were 496 and 573 interactions respectively.

The conquest for 1,000 interactions in a single week continues. With some new posting content to provide to the Parkour community, new Parkour apparel to be released this week, and a fan page that has recently exploded, we have high expectations that this week (#22) may be the one where we break through the roof and start giving away all that free Parkour clothing that our fans have been seeking for so long. Join our cause this week, and let’s see if we can make it!
