by on Nov.18, 2008, under B13 Ultimatum, Cyril Raffaelli, David Belle

Here is episode 7 of our behind the scenes look at B13 – Ultimatum. In contrast to some of the other sneak peaks this featurette is comparatively mild.

A video like this, although not showing any major action, reveals more of the story and continues to build excitement for this film. If that by itself isn’t enough for you though, David throws in a smooth move and a vault that is, as always, well worth studying.

Un Monde Meilleur

by on Jun.15, 2008, under David Belle

David Belle’s most moving work by far is the 2005 short film Un Monde Meilleur (A Better World). Set in a hellish war zone a solider fights to survive while his mind seeks to find peace in a much more beautiful world. Thought provoking and moving, Un Monde Meilleur poignantly proposes whether or not there is a better world than the one we live in.

Parallel in many ways to the 2000 Hollywood blockbuster Gladiator with Russell Crow, Un Monde Meilleur is a captivating and stirring film whether or not one understands the French narration. Written and directed by Igor Pejica and starring David Belle, we have given this movie an R rating for violence.

For your convenience and understanding we have provided the movie’s English adaptation below which is also a better quality version of the film than its YouTube counterpart above. However, even if you do not speak French we highly recommend watching the French edition first. Not only do we think it will be more captivating, the English voice in place of David’s makes this a noticeable less enjoyable version as well.

What is Parkour? (Part 1 of 5)

by on May.06, 2008, under Francois 'Forrest' Mahop, Stephane Vigroux, Videos

Starting today www.MisterParkour.com is beginning a five part series that is designed to answer the question, “What is Parkour?” Throughout this series we will be featuring videos with insightful explanations of Parkour from Stephane Vigroux, Forrest, the Yamakasi and of course David Belle. The fifth part of this series will showcase a rare video of David Belle where he speaks for almost four minutes about what Parkour is and what it means to him.

For the first video in this series we start with an excellent video featuring Stephane Vigroux. This video is currently being promoted on YouTube and it was prominently featured on the YouTube homepage a few days ago. In this video Stephane performs some incredible Parkour moves and directly answers the question, What is Parkour?

A few weeks ago we posted a Parkour video featuring Forrest. It also does a great job of answering the question, “What is Parkour?” so we decided to include it in this post as well. The video is made in the same style as the video of Stephane above. In the feature Forrest performs some great Parkour moves and thoroughly describes what Parkour is and why he does it.

David Belle – District B13

by on Apr.18, 2008, under David Belle, Videos

Since we posted a movie clip of Sebastien Foucan it only makes sense to post a movie clip of David Belle. This clip is taken from David’s U.S. movie debut Banlieue 13 (District B13 in English). If you have not seen this move it is well worth watching. Released in the U.S. almost two years after its French release, District B13 was shown in select theaters (only one of which was in Oregon), and with minimal publicity the film still grossed more than a millions dollars in the U.S. box office. This was in large part due to the impressive action courtesy of the athleticism of David and his Co-Star Cryil Raffaelli among others. Reports said that 90% of the stunts were performed without wires, and if you have watched enough videos featuring David you will recognize scenery from Evry, France.
