Details

• Take a picture (or pictures) of you doing Parkour while wearing Take Flight clothing (or you can be posing. Completely up to you).
• Feel free to edit the picture in any way you like, add effects, add wording, or whatever you want to make the photo stand out.
• Give your picture a title, and name the picture file with your name and title (e.g. john-smith-taking-precision-seriously.jpg).
• Send all your entries to us at contest@takeflightapparel.com. (Multiple pictures are welcome, but there is a max of five entries per person.)
• All entries are due by 11:59pm on Sunday, February 12^th.
• We will narrow the entries down to the top 25 and create a contest specific photo album on the Take Flight Facebook page.
• We will select and announce the winners on this blog on Thursday February 23^rd.

How We Pick a Winner (this is going to be really, really hard we already know)

• We will look all the entries and take into account picture quality, creativity, showcasing of Parkour, showcasing of Take Flight clothing, and over all impression + all the little things. Details matter! (please remember that judging photographs is subjective. We will remain absolutely neutral, in order to provide the fairest contest possible, but it is possible that not everyone will agree with the judges decisions.)
• Bonus points and tie breaks will be given/awarded based on fan interaction on each photo in the finalist album. The most likes and the more positive comments tip the scales in that photo’s favor.*

*Negative comments will not count against a photo. We prefer to be supportive of everyone so for future references if you don’t feel like leaving a good comment then just don’t comment : )

The new Take Flight home page is here! We’ve been working on it for some time, and if you haven’t seen it yet… well it is now unveiled :)

Our new home page was designed specifically to give you a better resource and direction from our home page. Instead of just a few images and links, the TF home page now includes:

After months in production Nick has finally unveiled his initial 2010 demo edit for the public to see. The video is embedded below from its position on the Take Flight YouTube channel. In the video Nick sports exclusively Parkour apparel from Take Flight including the Original Parkour Tee, the Original Parkour Pants, the Vault Man Tee and the Parkour Wings Tee.

This video is only a small preview of what’s in store for Nick Bishop. He is hard at work producing new videos, and has some big events coming up soon as well which we will unveil shortly.

Following is the extended version of Daniel’s 2007 Showreel. True to Daniel’s abilities and style, the video is packed with vaults, rolls, and a plethora of flips and tricks.

The short documentary below, by Craig Pentak, features an extensive interview with Stephane Vigroux intermittent with scenes of Parkour training in London. During the interview Stephane talks about the origin and history of Parkour, the Yamakasi, and the word Tracer. He also discusses the mental aspects of Parkour, and his own personal journey finding Parkour and establishing Parkour Generations. In addition, Stephane discusses the obstacles he feels the art of Parkour is currently facing including the push by some to commercialize Parkour and promote Parkour competitions. To this end the documentary is concluded with Stephane discussing his own views, including David Belle’s and Sebastién Foucan’s opinions, of the recent World Freerun Championships.

This video is definitely a must see for everyone in the community; great insight from one of the humblest and most skilled practitioners on the planet.
