We Are Proud of Our Partners!
by Take Flight on Apr.22, 2011, under Articles, News
Take Flight is proud to have over a dozen partners and they are all committed to developing their groups and programs to help spread Parkour. Recently, we have notice an exciting increase in the amount of publicity and attention our partners have been receiving for their hard work, and we wanted to share some of it.
The PK Jaguars, from Kuwait, were feature performers in front of hundreds at the “Flamingo Show” in early April. Colorado Parkour performed along side multiple other alternative sports during this year’s Young Presidents Organization’s Global Leadership Summit Demo.
Bahrain Parkour, Apex, and Parkour Uruguay have all had television news segments dedicated to them in recent months; Parkour Uruguay was given national coverage!
Texas Parkour has made a video, raising money and support to build Parkour friendly parks all over Texas. This project is less about building parks with potential for Parkour, because we all know any location can be a great training spot. The idea is building areas where Parkour is not only accepted but expected.
We have only listed a few of our partners and they all have far more accomplishments than we could present here, so please explore their sites from our Partners page. We love seeing the skills and efforts of these groups being recognized by the public. We support all they do and we are honored to be partners with them all.
The Newest TF Design – Flow Like Water Tee
by Take Flight on Mar.29, 2011, under For Our Fans, New Releases, Products
Our newest release and first all-new design of 2011 is here! Its name, you ask? The Flow Like Water Tee.

Bringing together the ideals of A-to-B Parkour efficiency with the effortlessly beautiful movement that Parkour is exemplified by, this tee design encompasses multiple perspectives while still staying true to the core values of Parkour by David Belle. Also drawing inspiration from another great icon Bruce Lee, this tee immediately conjures up images of pursuit and achievement; in short, exactly what Take Flight wants to inspire you to do.
To be as adaptive to the environment as water yet maintaining the strength and fluidity of movement is a core principle of Parkour. The Flow Like Water Tee is an instant classic that combines this Parkour philosophy with action. Choose your color and tell people how you move.
“Be like water my friend.” -Bruce Lee

Roof Jump Tee
by Take Flight on Sep.02, 2010, under News
Today is day 4 of our feature highlighting of the Parkour shirts of the 2010 line! In addition to highlighting the Roof Jump Tee, we are giving one of them to a lucky fan. Read this blog and you’ll find out how!
In one short week the Roof Jump Tee has already distinguished itself as a Parkour classic. As incredible as anything we’ve ever seen, the admiration and desire for this tee has already been endless. And although one can speculate why, we don’t think it needs much explanation why. The tee itself is in the same conceptual style as the Vault Man Tee, and depicts a Traceur in action performing a breathtaking roof jump between two old houses in a village in France. The detail, the texture, and the word “Parkour” conspicuously placed near the bottom of the tee culminates in an inspirational masterpiece that melds style and pure art.
Although we want to make it very clear that we do not condone or encourage jumping from rooftops, the point stands that jumping from rooftops can be a part of Parkour and has been demonstrated in countless amateur and professional Parkour videos. What we created with this shirt was not something to say, “Go be like this Traceur and jump from a roof of a building.” Rather we created a shirt that depicts Parkour at an elite level and capture the beauty of the discipline at its finest. We couldn’t be happier with the result, and we are so happy Traceurs around the world feel the same.
You can pick up a Roof Jump Tee now via our online store for only $19.95. We currently have the tee in a blue on black color scheme and a black on silver color scheme, and we will be releasing a new color combo in about a week. If you want a chance to win one of these for free though, simply visit the Take Flight Facebook page. Later today we will be posting a chance for you to win, and when we do all you have to do is read the post and follow the simple directions and you will be entered to win.

The 2010 Take Flight Clothing Line is Coming Soon!
by Take Flight on Jul.15, 2010, under New Releases, News, Products
In less than a year we have already made 299 posts on our blog, and we felt it fitting to make the 300th post a special one. In great anticipation, we are very please to announce the launching of our 2010 international clothing line!
In just a few short weeks we will be releasing our 2010 international clothing line. For us, new clothing is much more significant than simply launching a new design or a new style tee that will be worn by a Traceur. Every new item we produce carries meaning, hope, and purpose. At this point in time especially, new clothing means that Parkour is growing. And every individual that wears a Take Flight shirt is boldly saying, “I’m a Traceur. I do Parkour.” In our minds that gives us a huge responsibility to make sure our new clothing not only meets the standard set by our other lines, but further stretches the bounds and exceeds expectations in design, quality, and durability. With all the work we have put in we believe that this next line will do just that.
With our 2010 line of Parkour clothing being released in just a few short weeks, momentum is building here at our head quarters and excitement is building in the Parkour community and on our Facebook page. We aren’t allowed to release any of our designs at this time, but as soon as we can, believe us, we will! Stay tuned for the official Facebook release event and the new items we have in store!

Here on the left is the 2009 Take Flight clothing line including 40 Items in all. The Take Flight Silver Tee is not featured here. The 2010 line will be bigger and will include new clothing designs, more products for women, improved training gear and a few other surprises which we are keeping under wraps until the launch.
Week 26: 1,042 Interactions!!!
by Take Flight on Jul.13, 2010, under For Our Fans, Promotions
For the fourth week in a row we have crossed the 1,000 interaction mark! This week, the 26th week of the challenge, we had 1,042 interactions on our Facebook page which means that more than 1,000 times Traceurs around the world have commented, shared, Liked, critiqued, showed support of, and otherwise interacted with us and the Worldwide Parkour community through our page. Great job everyone!
For reaching 1,000+ interactions we are (as we always do in this case) giving away more free Parkour clothing! It’s just one way we can think of to encourage the interaction and sharing of Parkour through Facebook. Stay connected to the Take Flight Facebook page for all the details and your chance to win!
New Take Flight Facebook Image
by Take Flight on Jul.08, 2010, under For Our Fans, News
We recently changed our Facebook page image and the update has been raising some eyebrows. The old image was our logo shown here:
As you can see, the new image is much more detailed, and it not only includes our logo, it also includes our website-store address, our slogan (Jump. Fly. Dream.™), a Parkour shirt, and a foreshadowing of an upcoming promotion we are introducing that will change the way we interact with Traceurs and spread Parkour around the world.
In accordance with this new image, tons of people have been dying to know what the Fan of the Week is and how to become it! Although we are going to keep the complete details under wraps until we are ready for the fan of the week launch, for now we will say that we mean to feature fans directly on our Facebook fan page image. Hard to believe? It’s absolutely true.
We expect this recent FB image change to bring a new found energy to the TF Facebook presence and a new found excitement to Traceurs around the world. We plan to utilize it to better spread Parkour throughout the world, so we hope you like it!
