Alexei took up Parkour in 2007. Having watched many movies with Jackie Chan, he was impressed and inspired, so he moved to a big city when he was 8 years old took up gymnastics in Elektrostal, Russia. Due to many factors including illness and injury, Alexei gave up gymnastics, but inside he still liked to perform jumps and flips.
Then he saw a video with David Belle. His friends took him to a gym where guys did Parkour, and he began training. Because of his base in gymnastics he progressed extremely quickly not only with Parkour but also with acrobatics.
Alexei says, “It's all inside you, you never give it up, you can stop persistent training, but you'll always want to jump and fly. It's like childhood, you forget everything when you enter the gym and you just enjoy flying, feeling your body, seeing your progress.”
Since then Alexei has been following his own path and training under Ruslan Dzhavadov. Alexei is a member of Moscow based Street Union Team and continues to use his talents to spread Parkour and Freerunning around the world.
